Last updated: January 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating a Swiftbox account or using any Swiftbox service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. Swiftbox T&T reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
2. Services
Swiftbox T&T provides international package forwarding, air freight, ocean freight (LCL and FCL), customs brokerage, and related logistics services from the United States to Trinidad and Tobago. Services are subject to availability and may change without notice.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. Swiftbox reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Prohibited and Restricted Items
You agree not to ship any prohibited or restricted items through Swiftbox. This includes but is not limited to:
- Camouflage clothing or camouflage-patterned items (illegal to import into Trinidad & Tobago)
- Firearms, ammunition, and weapons
- Narcotics and controlled substances
- Cash, currency, and financial instruments
- Hazardous materials, explosives, and flammables
- Live animals and perishable goods
- Counterfeit or pirated goods
- Any item prohibited under the laws of Trinidad & Tobago, the United States, or international shipping regulations
Swiftbox reserves the right to refuse, return, or dispose of any shipment found to contain prohibited items. You are responsible for all costs associated with the handling of prohibited items, including return shipping where possible.
5. Declared Value and Customs
You are responsible for accurately declaring the value and contents of all shipments. Undervaluing or misdescribing goods for customs purposes is illegal and may result in seizure, fines, and account termination. Swiftbox prepares customs documentation on your behalf based on the information you provide. You remain legally responsible for the accuracy of that information.
Customs duties, VAT, and government taxes are your responsibility and are not included in Swiftbox's shipping rates unless explicitly stated.
6. Liability and Insurance
Swiftbox's liability for lost or damaged shipments is limited to the declared value of the package, up to a maximum of USD $500 per shipment unless additional insurance has been purchased. Insurance must be purchased at the time of pre-alert and is subject to the conditions outlined in our Rates page.
Swiftbox is not liable for delays caused by customs authorities, weather, carrier disruptions, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for consequential, indirect, or special damages of any kind.
7. Television and High-Value Items
Televisions are accepted under the conditions specified in our Rates policy. Swiftbox is not liable for internal damage to televisions where the outer manufacturer packaging arrives intact. You must be present at the time of delivery to inspect and sign for all television shipments.
8. Storage
Packages are held at our Miami warehouse for up to 30 days at no charge. After 30 days, a storage fee of USD $2 per package per day applies. Packages uncollected after 90 days may be disposed of or donated at Swiftbox's discretion.
9. Referral Program
The Swiftbox referral program awards TTD $100 in shipping credit to the referring member when a referred member's first shipment is received at the Miami warehouse. Credits are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may only be applied to Swiftbox shipping invoices. Swiftbox reserves the right to review, suspend, or terminate referral credits where abuse or fraudulent activity is suspected. Referral credits cannot be earned on referrals to existing members.
10. Payment
Payment for shipping services is due upon invoice. Swiftbox reserves the right to hold packages until outstanding invoices are settled. We accept payment via the methods listed on our website. Prices are quoted in USD for shipping fees and TTD for local charges unless otherwise stated.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Trinidad and Tobago.
